On October 16, 2022, the results of Round 6 of the JoSAA Counseling 2022 Seat Allotment were released. By October 17, 2022, candidates who received a seat in JoSAA Counseling Round 5 can complete their online reporting, pay the seat acceptance fee, and upload their documents. The deadline for JoSAA 2022 Round 6 Counseling inquiry responses is October 17, 2022. The seat acceptance cost for JoSAA 2022 is Rs. 35,000 (for all categories except SC, ST, and PwD) and Rs. 15,000 (for SC, ST, and PwD categories).

Six rounds of counselling will be held by JoSAA for admission to the best IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. However, if there are open seats in NIT+System, further super round counselling is undertaken through CSAB.

While JEE Advanced 2022 scores will be utilised for seat allocation at IITs, JEE Main 2022 scores will be used for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Investigate JEE Advanced Counseling 2022.

JoSAA is slated to handle the counselling for 114 academic institutions in India for the academic year 2022–2023. These include 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 23 IITs (Other-GFTIs).

What is Counseling by JoSAA? The joint seat allocation process for admission to 114 institutions in India is known as JoSAA or The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling. JoSAA Counseling is provided by JoSAA, a body the Ministry of Education established to oversee and control the counselling procedure. There is a single platform used for admission to every academic programme offered by these Participating Institutes.

JoSAA Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met in order for applicants to JoSAA Counselling 2022 to be eligible:

JEE Advanced 2022 eligibility for IIT academic programmes [excluding preparatory courses].

They must meet the requirements listed below in order to attend counselling for the B.E. or B.Tech. programme:

a score on JEE Main Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech in 2022. NIT, IIIT, and other GFTI programmes

passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) test with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational as required courses.

Candidates must meet the requirements listed below in order to apply for counselling for the architecture programme:

Obtain a B rank in Paper 2 of JEE Main 2022. Arch. for courses at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Obtain a B rank in Paper 3 of JEE Main 2022. Planning programmes at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs with mathematics as a required subject.
