NEET
UG 2024: NTA Releases City-Wise, Centre-Wise Results for All Candidates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the
NEET UG 2024 results today, July 20. The results are available in a city-wise
and centre-wise format, accessible on the official websites,
exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ and neet.ntaonline.in.
The results were initially declared on June 5, but
have now been republished following a Supreme Court order. The court is
currently reviewing several petitions concerning alleged irregularities in the
exam, including a possible paper leak. The Supreme Court's intervention
prompted the NTA to release the
results in a more detailed format.
To access their scorecards, candidates must visit
the official website, locate the “NEET
Scorecard” link on the homepage, enter their details, and submit the form.
It is crucial for candidates to download and save their scorecards for future
reference after ensuring that their credentials are correct.
The Supreme Court is set to resume hearings on July
22 regarding petitions seeking the cancellation of the exam, a re-test, and a
court-monitored probe into the allegations of malpractice. This year, nearly 23
lakh candidates took the NEET UG
exam at 4,750 centres across 571 cities, including 14 international locations.
On July 18, Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra
questioned the Centre’s assertion that the alleged leak of question papers in
Hazaribagh occurred only one hour before the exam, describing it as improbable.
The court's scrutiny continues as it examines the broader issues surrounding
the examination process.
