TISS NET means TATA INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SERVICE NATIONAL ENTRANCE TEST

Tata Institute of Social Science is one of the prestigious institutes in India for imparting quality education to apply it for changing social dynamics through development and implication of knowledge. Tata Institute of Social Science was established in 1936 as Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. But in 1944 it was renamed as Tata Institute of Social Science and in 1964,  it was recognised as Deemed University.

Tata Institute of Social Science has four campuses –

• Mumbai
• Tuljapur
• Hyderabad
• Guwahati

It is a national level entrance test conduct for the admission into TISS (Tata Institute of Social Service) for Post Graduate Programme such as M.A, M.Sc , M.H.A and M.P.H in different disciplines. TISS NET is having 21 schools and 45 centres across India and 8 Independent Centres for more than 50 Programmes .TISS covers a variety of areas such as social work, media, disaster management, vocational education and etc.

Candidates can apply for maximum of three programmes across any of two of the TISS Campuses and other centre locations. TISS does not provide MBA programme but aspiring management student can register for the programme like M.A in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations, M.A in Social Entrepreneurship and M.A in Globalisation and Labour. Earlier M.A in Human Resource Management and Labour Relation was known as M.A in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.

TISS NET 2019 ELIGIBLITY

Candidates having Bachelor Degree from any recognised university can apply.

Candidate studying in 3 year degree programme needs to be passed in all the subject from  1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying 4 year degree programme need to be passed in all the subjects from 1st to 6th semester at the time of applying for exam.

Only those candidates who will be able to complete all the requirement of their final year Bachelor’s Degree Examination are eligible to apply for the programme.

TISS NET 2019 EXAM PATTERN

TISS NET is online based exam conducted once in a year in one session by TISS. Objective type questions will be asked in the exam of duration of 100 minutes.

There is no negative marking scheme for the wrong answer.

TISS NET 2019 APPLICATION FEES

Application fees are different from different category. Candidates can pay the registration fees through online payment gateway. Payment can also be made through SBI Challan by depositing it in any branch of SBI. Student can apply for maximum 3 programme and for each programme student needs to pay separately.

TISS NET 2019 SELECTION PROCEDURE

Selection process of candidate for different programme will be made in two stages

I. TISS National Entrance Test Examination – Candidates have to give TISS National Entrance Test.

II Short listing candidates for PIT (Pre Interview Test) and PI (Personal Interview) - Only qualified students in an exam will be called for PIT(Pre Interview Test ) and PI (Personal Interview)
