IIFT 2019 Dates has been announced on 22 August 2019 by National Testing Agency.The date of IIFT 2019 is 1st Decemeber 2019.

This year IIFT Exam is being conducted online by NTA, an autonomous organization established by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India. Eligibility Criteria has been mentioned in the details of examination.

The basic eligibility criteria for IIFT Exam is the bachelor degree required with minimum of 50 % and 45% in case of reserved category (Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Person with Disability)

IIFT 2019 Eligibility Criteria for National Candidates 

► Required Degree

    Minimum 3 Years of Bachelor Degree in any of the streams or discipline.

► Minimum Qualifying Marks

    Minimum Qualifying marks for General is 50 % & and 45 % for SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled              Tribes) and PwD( Person with Disability) Categories.

 ► Final Year Students

     Student in final year of graduation can also apply for the exam.

 ► Age Factor

    There is no age bar for appearing in the exam.

► Work Experience Factor

    IIFT has not mentioned any compulsory work experience factor as eligibility criteria section for the exam.        But at the time of final admission process, Student who has work experience in between  1 to 5 year will          be  given weight age .

This is important point for student to keep in mind that IIFT has reserved all the right to verify the eligibility if any student will be unable to fulfil their eligibility criteria, their admission can be cancelled.


The basic marks qualifying percentage is same for international student also as there is not any changes into it.

► Required Examination

   Candidates must have minimum of three years of bachelor degree with minimum of 50%.

► Final year

Candidates in final year of graduation can also apply for the exam.

► Residential Status

Candidate who resides for more than 18 months outside of India as on 31 December 2019 and remains outside in duration of IIFT Examination windows are eligible to apply for the exam.

► Mandatory documents required to be taken as International Candidates

Below are the essential documents which need to be produced

  1. The Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce with application a certificate from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on 31st December 2019.
  2. Foreign Nationals need to have a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India.

► On the basis of GMAT Score

  1. The candidate should produce Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score which should be received by the Institute latest by 15th February 2020. GMAT taken before 1st January 2018 is not valid.
  2. For taking admission in 2020, Foreign Nationals needs to appear in IIFT 2019, if they are present in India
  3. It has been clearly mentioned in the IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2020 that foreign nationals need to be appeared in IIFT 2020 Entrance exam if they are present at the IIFT 2019 Examination.


International Candidates with the following point will not be qualifying IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2019

  1. Admission of any of the candidate will be cancelled if they will fail to fulfil the basic bachelor degree eligibility criteria.
  2. Candidates who have taken GMAT Exam before 1st Jan 2018 will not be eligible for IIFT 2019 Exam.
  3. If the candidate has appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year in India (2019) such as CAT/XAT /IIFT, etc., he /she is not eligible to apply. Candidates are required to give the undertaking for the same
  4. NRI-Sponsored candidates and Children of NRIs are not considered under this category.

For IIFT 2019, Exam mode of conduct has been changed. IIFT 2019 which will lead to admission process for IIFT 2020-22 batch will be conducting online from this year. This year National testing Agency will be conducting exam in single session. IIFT 2019 as digitally based exam.

Changes in IIFT 2019 Exam

  1. IIFT has confirmed the changes which will be taking place in upcoming 2019 IIFT Entrance Test
  2. IIFT 2019 will be conducting online on 01December 2019.
  3. This year notification of IIFT 2019 has been released by NTA not IIFT.
  4. Sections and no of questions may or may not be changed from IIFT 2019 Exam.
  5. The decision regarding the Kakinanda Campus is not yet finalised as it was expected in 2018 that IIFT may start their admission process in 2019 with 60 students.

IIFT used to be conducted offline but now the mode of conduct has been changed for IIFT 2019.N IIFT Exam, Objective Type Questions will be asked in the exam .IIFT will consist total 0f 6 sections include Verbal Ability; English Reading Comprehension; General Knowledge & Awareness; Logical Reasoning; Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis. IIFT 19 Entrance test will remain  multple choice objective type written test (in English) of 120 minutes.

  1. In 2017, number of section in exam has been increased.
  2. There will be negative marking scheme of 1/3rd marks for choosing wrong answers .Candidates needs to be careful toward choosing the option .If they are not sure about the answer they do not need to choose it. Maximum marks for the exam will be 100.
  3. There is not any fixed no. of question for IIFT .In 2015 there was 124 Questions, in 2016 there was 123 questions asked and in 2017 the no of question asked was 114 so we can only expect the no. of questions asked in the exam will be 114 to 123.


IIFT 2019 Instructions for filling application form -Details

IIFT test has scheduled for 01st December 2019.Registration process is being started. This year notification of IIFT has been issued by NTA .For the first time it  is conducted by NTA online in single session.
Candidates has only online mode to apply for the exam. Student can apply from official website of NTA https://iift.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx
Candidate can apply once for the exam .Any multiple application form attempt will lead to rejection of student.

It is suggested that the Candidates have the following ready before starting the filling of the online application form:-

  1.  A computer with good Internet connectivity 
  2.  All qualification details 
  3.  Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb) 
  4.  Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb) 
  5.  Scanned clear copy of certificates indicating Category and/or subcategory as applicable in JPG/JPEG format (size between 50 kb–300 kb) 
  6.  A valid e-mail Id as all communication will be made on this e-mail Id 
  7.  A valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number 
  8.  A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account or PAYTM Service. 
  9.  A printer connected to the system to print confirmation page.

It is advised for student to  carefully read all the eligibility criteria carefully so that there should not be any chance of error.No correction can be made at a later stage after submission of an application

IIFT Application Form 2019

Application Process has been started for IIFT 2020 Exam from 09 September 2019 on NTA (National Testing Agency ) Official Website and will be ending on 25 October 2019.This year notification of IIFT Exam 2019 was released by National testing Agency not IIFT(Indian Institute of Foreign Trade).

Dear Candidate, 

It is necessary to understand that IIFT 2019 Exam is the same exam which will lead to Admission in IIFT 2020-22 Batch.So don’t get confused with the term IIFT 2019 or IIFT 2020.It is IIFT 2019 Score Card which will be required for admission into IIFT 2020.

IIFT used to conduct the IIFT Entrance test before this year.But now it’s being conducted by NTA .From 2019, IIFT is no longer offline conducted exam. The mode of conduct has been changed now to computer based exam. There is only one mode of applying for IIFT Entrance Exam .Candidate can apply online only, there is no other mode. Application fee is Rs 2000 for general and obc candidate and Rs 1000 for reserved category which can be paid via online through debit /credit card or net banking or wallet.

And the same is confirmed by the Director of IIFT that by this year IIFT Entrance Exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency not IIFT .Application process for IIFT 2019 exam will be done online not offline , candidate can apply online and make the payment for application fees online as well through debit or credit card or net banking or wallet.

How to fill IIFT 2019 Application form ?

Almost every entrance exams are being conducted online. All the management entrance exam has accepted the digitally mode for conduct of exam. IIFT 2019 will also be conducted online. There is no other mode of filling form .Student can make payment for the same online via debit card or credit card or net banking or Paytm. For the first time IIFT Entrance test will be conducting by National Testing Agency and that same in online mode. IIFT 2019Test will be held on 1st December 2019 in single session from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m noon. The registration has started from 09 September 2019 and will close on 25 October 2019. And the last date of making payment for registration fees for IIFT 2019  is 26 October 2019.

IIFT 2019 Application Form Procedure

Below are the steps to apply online for the candidates who are appearing on 01st December 2019 in IIFT 2019 Exam for academic year 2020-22

1. Visit the official Website of NTA  https://iift.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx 

 IIFT MBA page will open from where you can see the option of “Fill Online Application Form “

2. Register for Online Application Form

    Register for Online Application Form and note down system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the             Online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission       of  the personal details.Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be           required for all future correspondence.

      For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.

3. Complete the Application Form : Candidate can login with the system generated Application Number and created Password for completing the                         Application  Form.

4. Upload Required documents : Upload Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature and Candidate’s Caste Certificate if the                  Candidate is applying Under GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST or PwD Category.

(a) Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format.

(b) Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.

(c) Size of scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

(d) Size of scanned Caste/Category Certificate should size between 50 kb–300 kb

(e) The recent photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast).

Note: Upload the correct Photograph, Signature and Caste/Category Certificate as the facility for correction in images will not be given.

5. Payment by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/PAYTM/UPI Service:

   The candidate has to select Debit card/Credit card/Net banking/PAYTM option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the            payment of fee.

After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and the candidates has to approach the concerned bank for refund of amount. However the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment at NTA website (https://iift.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx) and if the status is ‘OK’, the candidate will be able to take the printout of Confirmation Page.

In case, the fee payment status is not ‘OK’ the candidates are advised as following:

♦ If the fee is paid through credit/debit card/Net banking/PAYTM and status is not OK, it means the transaction is cancelled and the amount will, automatically, be refunded to concerned credit/debit card.. Therefore, such candidates will be required to pay the fee once again and ensure that the fee status OK.


(i) The final submission of online Application form will remain incomplete if all the steps are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

(ii) No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained

(iii) The entire application process of MBA (IB) –2020 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/Fax/email/ By Hand.

Important Note: No Correction shall be made after declaration of result by the NTA.

The NTA will, not the slightest bit, be in charge of any off-base/wrong data outfitted by the candidate(s) in their online application form . The letter/emails in such manner won't be engaged by the NTA.

The NTA check neither the data filled by the candidates in the application structure nor any certificate of category /educational qualification for deciding the eligibility criteria of candidates. The certificates of educational and category (if applied under reserved category) will be checked by the concerned institution. The candidates are, along these lines, encouraged to guarantee their qualification and the category (if applying under held category).

Every Candidates who have presented the online application and paid the registration charge till last date will be permitted to show up in IIFT MBA (IB) – 2020 and their admit cards will be transferred on the site according to plan.

IIFT 2019 Syllabus -Details

IIFT  2019 has started its application process from 09 September 2019 and will end on 25 October 2019. Exam will be held on 01st December 2019. IIFT 2019 is the entrance test for taking admission into Indian Institute of Management, MBA (IB) Programme for the batch 2020-22. IIFT used to conduct IIFT Entrance Test so far but for now IIFT 2019 will be conducting by NTA. For the first time IIFT Entrance Test  will be conducting in online mode by National Testing Agency, an autonomous institution established by Ministry of Human Resource Development.

IIFT has not given any fixed syllabus for IIFT Entrance Test but after analysing past record of IIFT Entrance Tests, we have come up with IIFT Syllabus .In IIFT 2019, multiple choice questions will be asked.

In 2018,  no of sections were increased to 6 from 4 .IIFT 2019 has 6 sections which incorporates Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.




Here we provide you IIFT Syllabus for individual sections. There is a different sectional cut off for every one of the six segments alongside a general cut off. Multiple choice questions will be asked in the IIFT 2019. The maximum marks in the IIFT 2019 Exam is 100 marks. There is differential marking over sections of IIFT and each question draws a punishment of 1/3 rd of the allotted marks, for each wrong answer.
