The Graduate
Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 registration deadline has been
extended once more, offering candidates an additional opportunity to apply.
Initially, the registration was set to close on October 3, 2024, but due to
numerous requests from students, the deadline has now been pushed to October
11, 2024. This marks the second extension, as the original deadline was on September
26, 2024.
Candidates interested in appearing for GATE 2025 can complete the registration
process on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in,
by the new deadline. The extension allows applicants who missed the earlier
dates to register, though a late fee will be applicable. According to the
notification issued by IIT Roorkee,
which is organizing GATE 2025, the
registration portal will remain open until 11:59 PM on October 11, 2024.
This year’s exam will be conducted in computer-based testing (CBT) mode
during February 2025, with the specific dates scheduled for February 1, 2, 15,
and 16. GATE 2025 will feature a
total of 30 test papers, covering both full and sectional papers.

The registration process for GATE 2025 began on August 28, 2024. The fee structure is as
follows:
Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates: Rs 900
All other candidates (including foreign nationals):
Rs 1,800
To register, candidates must provide personal
details, examination preferences, qualification details, and upload necessary
documents like photographs, signatures, and relevant certificates. Once the
registration is completed, candidates can track their application status on the
official website.
The GATE 2025
admit card is expected to be released in January 2025. IIT Roorkee may also announce the application form editing dates
soon, allowing candidates to make corrections if needed.
