Bangalore Tops India’s Business Schools in QS Executive MBA Rankings 2024
The Indian
Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has reclaimed its position as
India’s leading business school in the 2024 edition of the QS Executive MBA Rankings,
released by global education analyst Quacquarelli
Symonds on July 17. IIM Bangalore achieved a global rank of 41, up two
places from last year, solidifying its status as the premier management school
in the country.
The Indian
School of Business (ISB) holds the second spot, though it has slipped from
its previous rank of 100 to the '101-110' range. IIM Kozhikode and the Institute
of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, follow in third and fourth places
respectively, each ranked in the '171-180' range. IIM Indore and Woxsen School of Business round out the top six,
positioned in the '181+' range.

Nunzio Quacquarelli, President and Chair of QS,
remarked, “QS is thrilled to celebrate the success of IIM Bangalore, which has
been recognised as the home of India’s best Executive MBA program. This
achievement underscores India’s rising prominence in executive business
education, with its representation in the ranking doubling year-on-year.”
Quacquarelli emphasized the importance of global
perspectives in business education, noting that “Executive MBA programs play a
vital role in fostering international professional networks, with leading
programs focusing on diversity, career outcomes, and high-quality intake.”
On the global stage, Oxford (Said) Business School
secured the top rank, moving up from third place last year. Last year’s leader,
HEC Paris, dropped to third place, while IESE Business School and MIT (Sloan)
held onto their second and fourth positions, respectively. London Business
School entered the top five, rising from seventh to fifth.
Penn (Wharton) slipped from fifth to sixth place,
and IE Business School fell from sixth to tenth. Northwestern (Kellogg) and
Yale School of Management made significant gains, moving from 11th and 13th to
seventh and eighth, respectively. INSEAD dropped from eighth to ninth place
this year.
This edition of the rankings features 194 of the
world's top executive MBA programs from 45 countries and territories.
