IIT JAM CCMN Eligibility Criteria 2024 for the participating institutes are as follows:

You must have undertaken the IIT JAM 2024 Examination.

You must have cleared the IIT JAM Cutoffs 2024 for the respective stream.

You must be a B.Sc. graduate with a 6.5 CGPA or 60% aggregate marks. SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to obtain a 6.0 CGPA or 55% aggregate marks.

Candidates in their final year of B.Sc. are also eligible if they can complete the degree without any backlog in the current session.

Follow these steps for CCMN Counselling Process:

Registration and Choice Locking: Candidates must register for the exam, pay the registration fees, and select their preferred colleges for admissions. Candidates must lock their choices before a specific date.

Seat Allotment: Based on the candidate’s score, IIT JAM Cutoffs, and the number of candidates who have appeared for the exam, a seat will be allotted to the candidate. Candidates must submit a seat allocation fee (for the first round only).

Online Submission of Documents: Candidates need to submit their documents (detailed in subsequent sections) for verification. The document submission and verification process will be online.

Acceptance/Rejection of Seat: Candidates will be given options to accept a seat or upgrade it. If dissatisfied with their allocated seat, candidates may choose to reject it. There are multiple options available for the Acceptance/Withdrawal process.

Reporting at the Institute: The final step involves the candidate being physically present at the allotted institute for document verification. After successful verification, the candidate must enroll at the institute.

Choice Locking

IIT JAM CCMN 2024: Choice Locking

After paying the registration fees, candidates must lock their selected choices before the deadline. Before the deadline, candidates can add, delete, or switch priorities in their list of saved colleges. Choices can be locked anytime before the deadline; however, no modifications can be made after locking the choices. If choices are not locked before the deadline, the last saved list will be automatically locked for the next counselling process.

Seats will be allotted based on the candidate’s IIT JAM Results, cutoffs, and the number of candidates who have appeared for the exam. For the first round of seat allotment, candidates must submit a seat allocation fee/CCMN Seat Acceptance Fee even if they are dissatisfied with the allotted seat. A separate Seat Allotment List will be published after each round, mentioning the candidates' roll numbers, names, and allotted seats.

Options Available

Candidates can either accept or reject their allocated seats by choosing one of the following options:

IIT JAM CCMN Counselling 2024: Options Available for seat rejection.

If not satisfied with the allotted seat, candidates can opt for ‘Surrender and Participate in the next round’. This option allows participation in the next round, but the claim on the current seat will be dissolved. If not allotted a seat in the next round, the candidate will not be eligible for the previously allocated seat and must participate in the Vacant Seat Round (CCMN 2024 Spot Round) for admissions.

Withdrawal of Application

IIT JAM CCMN Counselling 2024: Withdrawal of Application

Candidates can withdraw from the IIT JAM CCMN 2024 Counselling process by opting for ‘withdrawal of application form’. Withdrawal will prevent participation in any further rounds of IIT JAM 2024 Counselling, and the seat allotted in the current round will be reassigned to another candidate. CCMN 2024 Seat Acceptance Fees will be refunded, but the counselling fees will not be refunded.
