IIT Jammu offers a range of scholarships for
undergraduate and postgraduate students to support their academic journey.
These scholarships include Merit-cum-Means (MCM), Free Messing, and Freeship
(Remission of Fee), aimed at easing the financial burden for meritorious and
financially needy students.

Scholarships and Eligibility Criteria
1.
Merit-cum-Means
(MCM) Scholarship
·
Eligibility: Available to General, EWS,
and OBC-NCL students.
·
Benefits: Waives tuition fees and
provides ₹1,000 per month during the semester.
·
Income Criteria: Family income must be
below ₹4,50,000 annually.
·
Selection: Based on JEE Advanced rank
for freshers and CGPA for existing students.

Free
Messing for SC/ST Students
·
Eligibility: Exclusively for SC/ST
students.
·
Benefits: Free meals (basic menu) and
₹250 monthly pocket allowance.
·
Income Criteria: Family income should
not exceed ₹4,50,000 per annum.
·
Academic Requirement: Maintain SGPA/CGPA
of 6.0 or higher.

Freeship
(Remission of Fee)
·
Eligibility: General, OBC-NCL, and EWS
students not covered by other scholarships.
·
Benefits: Partial remission of tuition
fees based on financial need.
·
Income Criteria: Family income between
₹1,00,000 and ₹4,50,000.
·
Academic Requirement: CGPA of 6.0 or
above, with no more than two backlogs.
These scholarships are designed to assist students
