IIT Ropar established a state-of-the-art CPS Lab in Sikkim. The lab fosters education, innovation, and advanced technical skills.
In partnership with the Centre for Computers and Communication Technology (CCCT), Chisopani, Sikkim, iHub-AWaDH of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar inaugurates the AWaDH Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Lab.
The National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has taken this landmark step in the journey of education and innovation in this region.
Our
Role in Education and Research
As the first of its kind in Northeast India, the AWaDH CPS Lab aims to nurture quality education, encourage innovations, and promote technical knowledge among students, researchers, and faculty.
The lab intends to inspire young graduates, postgraduates, and startups to adopt the world of CPS and embrace them in their daily lives. As a regional hub for education, research, and prototyping, the lab equips individuals with the knowledge and tools to excel in this emerging field.
State-of-the-Art
Features
IIT Ropar has developed advanced IoT kits that can be plugged in and played in the AWaDH CPS Lab for hands-on experimentation. It also has cutting-edge resources like Voltera V-One, BLE development kits, AI and ML workstations, and environmental sensors for research and skill development.
R&D, incubation of startups, and collaborative consultancy projects will be integrated into the course curriculum at CCCT, and this facility will be used for CPS with its integration into the curriculum.
