The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is currently accepting applications for its internship program scheduled for July 2024, with the application deadline set for June 1.

This internship is available to students specializing in economics, law, management, and finance. The program is designed to provide practical experience in competition law. CCI's internship starts every month, accommodating up to 15 interns monthly. Exceptions can be made for more applicants with outstanding research topics on competition law.

Application Process:

Interested candidates must apply using the prescribed format available in the Annexure. Applications would not be accepted in any other format.

A recommendation letter from a competent authority at the candidate’s academic institution is required. Applications without this recommendation will be rejected.

Applicants must submit a 200-word 'Statement of Purpose' outlining their topic and study objectives.

Applications should be submitted by the first of the month preceding the intended internship month.

The Secretary, Competition Commission of India, 10th Floor, Office Block, Tower 1, Ring Road (Opposite AIIMS), Kidwai Nagar (East), New Delhi-110023.

Alternatively, applications can be emailed to internships@cci.gov.in.

The application envelope should be marked "Application for Internship for Month/Year".

Interns will receive a stipend of Rs 15,000 per month. Certificates will be granted upon the successful completion of the internship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only Indian nationals are eligible.

Open to students from recognized institutions and universities with a background in competition law.

Students with job placements are not eligible.

Educational Qualification:

Students enrolled in the following courses are eligible to apply:

Economics and Management: MA/MSc (Economics), fourth and final year students of a five-year integrated degree program in Economics, and MBA.

Law: Second and third-year students of a three-year LLB, fourth and final year students of a five-year integrated law course, those entering the fourth year after a three-year exam, and LLM students.

Regulatory Governance: MA/MSc (Regulatory Governance).

Professional Courses: Final group students of Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, or Company Secretary programs.

The internship typically lasts one month, beginning on the first working day. However, applicants interested in a 2-3 month internship may apply with proper recommendations from their academic institution.
