How to Challenge the Answer Key?
Candidates who find
discrepancies in the provisional answer key can raise objections by following
these steps:
·
Visit the official website.
·
Log in using application number and password.
·
Select the question(s) you wish to challenge.
·
Upload supporting documents (if required).
·
Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per
question.
·
Submit the challenge before the deadline.
If the challenge is
valid, NTA will revise the answer key accordingly. However, no personal
notifications will be sent regarding the acceptance or rejection of objections.
JEE Main 2025 Marking Scheme
JEE Main 2025 consists of two sections
– Section A (MCQs) and Section B (Numerical Value Questions). The marking
scheme is as follows:

Correct Answer: +4 marks
·
Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (applies to both
sections)
·
Unanswered/Marked for Review: No marks
·
Special Cases:
·
If more than one option is correct → Candidates marking any correct option get +4
marks.
·
If all options are correct → All attempting candidates get +4 marks.
·
If a question is incorrect or dropped → Full marks awarded to all candidates.
