The CSIR UGC NET 2024 will be held in two shifts each day.

In Morning Shift: Exams for Physical Sciences: Atmospheric, Ocean, Earth,  and Planetary Sciences

Life Sciences paper will be held in:

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

On July 27:

Chemical Sciences paper scheduled in the morning shift.

Admit Card Download and Important Documents

·         Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website of CSIR NET: csirnet.nta.ac.in. They must bring the following documents to the exam center:

·         Printed Admit Card: Ensure it is clear and legible.

·         Passport Size Photograph: Must be identical to the one submitted with the application form.

·         Authorized Government Photo ID: Such as school ID, PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card, Aadhaar enrolment number, or ration card.

·         PwD Certificate (if applicable): Necessary for candidates with disabilities.

Exam Day Guidelines

·         Arrival Time: Candidates must arrive at the examination center at least 30 minutes before their designated shift begins.

·         Permitted Items: Candidates needs to carry only necessary documents in the exam hall. Personal belongings or materials not listed as permitted will not be allowed.

·         Conduct During Exam: Candidates are not allowed to leave their seat or the examination hall without the invigilator’s permission.

Exam Format and Content

The CSIR UGC NET 2024 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three parts:

·         Part ‘A’: General Aptitude – Assesses basic logical and analytical skills.

·         Part ‘B’: Subject-Related MCQs – Covers specific knowledge in the candidate’s chosen field.

·         Part ‘C’: Scientific Concepts – Tests understanding of fundamental scientific principles.

Candidates can choose to take the exam in either English or Hindi, as selected during registration.
