The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024, originally set for July 13 and 14, has been postponed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) due to conflicts with final semester exams at some universities. The updated exam dates will be released soon.

Several students requested the delay because their final semester exams are scheduled between July 5 and 10. "Many students have requested that Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)  reschedule the PGCET 2024 exam, originally scheduled for July 13 and 14, because their final semester exams start on July 5," KEA stated during the postponement announcement.

“To safeguard the interests of the students, KEA has deferred the PGCET-2024 exam, initially set for July 13 and 14, 2024. The updated dates will be posted on the KEA website soon,” KEA added.

Furthermore, KEA will reopen the Karnataka PGCET 2024 registration window today. Candidates who have not yet applied can register online until July 7 (11:59 pm) at kea.kar.nic.in.The window for registration fee payments will close on July 9 at 6 pm.

The decision to postpone the Karnataka PGCET 2024 was influenced by the overlapping schedules, as it was critical to ensure that students do not face any academic conflicts. By rescheduling the PGCET, KEA aims to provide all candidates with the opportunity to prepare adequately and perform their best in the exams without any undue stress.

The reopening of the registration window is a significant step by KEA to accommodate more students who might have missed the initial registration deadline. This move ensures that all eligible candidates have another chance to apply for the entrance test and pursue their desired postgraduate courses in MCA, MBA, ME, MArch, and MTech programs.

KEA emphasized the importance of staying updated with the official announcements on their website. They advised all candidates to regularly check the KEA website for the new exam dates and any further instructions regarding the PGCET 2024.

Students are encouraged to use this additional time to enhance their preparation and make the most of the resources available. KEA also assured that all necessary measures will be taken to conduct the exams smoothly and efficiently once the new dates are finalized.
