Learn about the current trends of change in graduation exam pattern at Lucknow University, the new time limit and new exam schedule for students.
Lucknow University has brought a great change in the examination system by cutting down all undergraduate exams from 3 hours to 2. This was arrived at in a special meeting convened by the examination council to address the perceived huge clutter of the examination calendar.
The change in exam structure will be implemented across all the undergraduate degrees, excluding LLB and BEd programs. Moreover, postgraduate exams will also be unaltered and will continue to be in their normal three-hour duration.
The new system introduces a three-shift schedule for undergraduate exams:
Shift 1: 8:30-10:30 am
Shift 2: 11:30 am-1:30 pm
Shift 3: 2:30-4:30 pm
For postgraduate students, the current two-slot schedule will continue:
Morning Slot: 9 am-12 pm
Afternoon Slot: 1:30-4:30 pm
LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava stressed that these alterations are meant to enhance the examination process without affecting the quality of education. The new pattern provides an efficient one to organize time and, at the same time, provide high-quality assessment.
Students are requested to follow the official updates for the new format of exams while keeping themselves ready for the exams as per the new format to be notified soon.
