NEET UG Counselling: MCC Launches Portal for Medical Colleges to Submit Seat Details

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the portal for medical colleges to enter seat details for NEET UG counselling 2024. The deadline for medical colleges to submit their seat information on the official website, mcc.nic.in, is July 20.

As students await the Supreme Court's decision on NEET UG and the final dates for the 2024 counselling session, the MCC issued a notice on July 16 inviting medical colleges to update their seat details on the intramcc portal. The committee will accept these details until July 20 from participating institutions.

“Institutes participating in Under Graduate Counselling 2024 are hereby informed that the intramcc portal for submitting UG seat details is now open. Institutes are requested to start entering their seats on the portal at the earliest to complete the process timely," the official notice stated.

The notice also mentioned that the user ID and password for accessing the portal are the same as in previous years. Institutions can use the 'Forgot Password' feature if they need to reset their password.

For technical inquiries, institutions can contact the MCC between 10 am and 6 pm at the following numbers: 011-69227413, 69227416, 69227419, and 69227423.

For NEET UG 2024 counselling, the center has announced that counselling will begin in the third week of July and will consist of four rounds. Any students found using unfair means or malpractices during any stage of counselling will have their candidature cancelled.

The NEET UG counselling will include 15 percent All India Quota seats at various central universities, government colleges, deemed universities, and seats for the wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) at ESIC medical colleges and the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear all NEET UG 2024-related petitions on July 18, with a bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud.
