The National Testing Agency administered the UGC - NET December 2023 exam across 292 cities, covering 83 subjects for 9,45,918 candidates from December 6 to December 19, 2023.
Key dates include the release of the provisional answer key
on January 3, with the objection window closing on January 5, 2024. For the
archaeology subject, the answer key was released on January 8, and objections
were accepted until January 10, 2024.
In UGC NET 2023, reservation criteria are as follows:
15% of seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
7.5% of seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
27% of seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy
Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List.
10% of seats for General-Economically Weaker Sections
(General-EWS) candidates.
5% of seats in the specified categories for Persons with
Disabilities (PwD) with 40% or more disability.
