University of Sheffield Opens Applications for LLM Scholarships

The University of Sheffield in the UK is now accepting applications for its LLM scholarships. Applications for these scholarships will be evaluated alongside admission applications, with successful candidates being notified by the end of July 2024.

The university is offering two international LLM scholarships, each worth £4,320 towards tuition fees. Interested students can apply through the official website at sheffield.ac.uk.

To be eligible, candidates must be classified as overseas students for fee purposes, hold an academic offer from the University of Sheffield for a full-time LLM program (including Sheffield LLM, LLM Corporate and Commercial Law, and LLM International Law and Global Justice pathways), and possess an application number.

Applicants need to complete the International LLM Scholarship application form, which includes submitting a 2,000-word essay on the topic, "Law alone cannot address all social problems. Discuss."

Scholarship applications will be considered alongside admission applications, and successful applicants will be notified by the end of July 2024.

Ranked 105th in the QS World University Rankings 2025 with an overall score of 59.1, the University of Sheffield hosts over 11,000 international students, with 46% at the undergraduate level and 54% at the postgraduate level. The approximate tuition fee for international students is £21,500.
