officially opened its first Indian campus in Gurgaon. The campus was
inaugurated on Wednesday and is set to welcome its first batch of 140 students
in the 2025-26 academic session starting this September.
This new international campus will offer undergraduate
and postgraduate programs tailored for the evolving Indian and global job

🏛️ Academic Leadership
The newly launched India campus will be academically led
by Professor Eloise Phillips, who has been appointed as the Academic Provost.
With a rich background in health sciences, leadership, and academia, Prof.
Phillips previously contributed significantly to the University of
Birmingham’s Dubai campus and held leadership roles at Aston University.
Her expertise as a registered nurse and advanced clinical
practitioner further enhances the university’s global reputation in
cross-disciplinary education.
📢 Future of Foreign Universities in India
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan,
present at the inauguration, emphasized the government's commitment to international
education. He revealed that apart from the three operational foreign
universities, 12 more foreign institutions are in line to receive approval
under UGC’s new regulations. Additional campuses are planned in NCR, Navi
Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and GIFT City.
