ADMISSION PROCEDURE 

All the applicants who fulfil the eligibility criteria of admission and submitted the registration fees are eligible for Admission-Cum-Enrolment .Verification of documents is mandatory for completing the process of Admission-Cum-Enrolment.

Candidates admitted to any Course/ Program in SRMU, shall not be eligible to pursue simultaneously in any other full-time course in this or in any other University/Institutions.

Eligibility:

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA 

♦ B. Tech. {CE, CS, EC, EE, ME) 

Candidate have passed 10+2 or equivalent  system  any recognized Central/State Board   with   Physics   and Mathematics compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Computer Science/Technical Vocational Subject. Candidate must obtained minimum 45%   marks   or   equivalent   grade   for   GEN/ OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category in the above subjects taken together.

♦ B.Tech. (Bio Tech) 

Candidate    must   have   passed  10+2 or equivalent system from any recognized Central/ State Board with Physics and  Mathematics/ Biology as compulsory so alongwith Chemistry/    Biotechnology/ Computer Science/Technical Vocational Subject. Candidate must obtained minimum marks of 45% or equivalent grade for GEN/ OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category in the above subjects talcen together.

♦ B. Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)

Candidate   must   have   passed   10+2   or equivalent  system any recognized Central/ State Board with Physics and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory   subjects  alongwith  Chemistry 10+2 with Agriculture Subjects. Candidate must obtained minimum marks of 45% or equivalent grade for GEN/ OBC and 40% marks equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category in the above subjects taken together.

♦ B.Sc. (IT)

Candidate  have passed 10th or equivalent system from any recognized Central/ State Board with science as one of the subject and Candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum aggregate marks of 45% or equivalent grade for GEN/ OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category.

♦ BCA

Candidate  must  have  passed  10+2  or  equivalent  system  from   any recognized Central/ State Board  with  Mathematics / Computer  Science  or related   subjects   with   minimum   aggregate   marks   of   45%   or   equivalent grade  for  GEN/ OBC  and  40%  marks  or  equivalent  grade  for   SC/  ST Category. In case, candidate has passed 10+2 in  any  other  stream  with minimum aggregate marks of 45%  or  equivalent  grade  for  GEN/ OBC  and 40% marl‹s or equivalent  grade  for  SC/ ST  Category,  admission  can  be offered if has completed DOEACC ' O‘ Level certificate in Computer Science.

B. Sc. (H ) (Bio-Tech)

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent  system  from  any  recognized Central/ State Board with Physics and Mathematics / Biology as compulsory   subject   alongwith   Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science with minimum aggregate marlcs of 45% or  equivalent  grade  for GEN / OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category.

♦ B. Com  (H) 

Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent  system  from  any recognized Central/ State Board with Commerce or related subjects / Maths with minimum aggregate marks of 45% or equivalent grade for GEN/ OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category. Candidate should have secrlred pass marks in Commerce or related Subjects / Maths.

♦ BBA 

Candidate must have passed  10  +  2  or  equivalent  system  from  any recognized Central/ State  Board  in  any  stream  with  minimum  aggregate marks of 45% or CGPA of 5.0 for Gen / OBC and 40% marlrs or CGPA of 4. 5 for SC/ ST Category.

♦ B.A. (H) (Economics )

Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent  system  from  any recognized Central/ State Board with Maths / Economics / Commerce or related subjects with minimum aggregate  marks  of  45%  or  equivalent  grade for GEN/ OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category.    Candidate     should     have     secured     pass     marks     in Maths / Economics / Commerce or related subjects.

♦ B.Ed. 

Candidate must have passed Graduation or Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities with minimum aggregate marlis  of  50%  for Gen / OBC and 45% marks for SC/ ST or Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics or any other qualification equivalent thereto from any recognised University or AICTE recognised Institute / College with minimum aggregate marks of 55%  for Gen/ OBC and 50% marks for SC/ ST Category.

♦ B-Arch. 

Candidate must have qualified National  Aptitude  Test  in  Architecture (NATA) or any aptitude test in Architecture conducted by competent authority. In addition to the  above,  the  candidate  must  have  passed  10+2 or equivalent system from any recognized Central/ State Board  with minimum aggregate marks of 50% or equivalent  grade  in  Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at least 50% mar1‹s in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination.

Candidate must have qualified National  Aptitude  Test  in  Architecture (NATA) or any aptitude test in Architecture drawn on the pattern  as prescribed by COA Education Regulations, 2015. Candidate must  have passed 10+3 Diploma recognised by Central/ State Governments with minimum aggregate marks of 50% with Mathematics as a  compulsory subject.

♦ B.Pharma 

Candidate shall  have  passed  10*2  examination  conducted  by  the respective state / central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AI U) with English   as   one   of   the   subjects   and    Physics,    Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as optional subjects individually  with  minimum marks of 45% or equivalent grade for GEN/ OBC and 40% marlcs or equivalent grade for SC/ ST Category in the above subjects taken together.However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non class rooms based schooling such as National Institute of  Open Schooling, open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm Course." Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent  system  from  any recognized Central/ State Board in any stream with minimum  aggregate marles of 40% or CGPA of 4. 5 for Gen/ OBC/ SC/ ST Category.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA FOR PH.D

A candidate seeking the admission for  the  degree  of  Doctor  of  Philosophy  (Ph. D.)  in the university must have the following basic eligibility.

  • Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory  body,  with  at  least  55% marks in aggregate to its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 — point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited  by  an  Assessment  and  Accredited  Agency in its home country shall be eligible for admission to Ph. D. programme.
  • Candidates possessing an M.Phil. Degree or a degree considered to M. Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign  Educational  Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accredited Agency in  its  home country shall be eligible for admission to Ph. D. programme
  • Candidates who have cleared the M. Phil. Course work in the University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its eqriivalen t 8 a de 'B’ and successfuPy completing M. Phil. degree / M. Phil. Dissertation has been evaluated and  the viva voice is pending shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph.D. Degree in the University.
  • A relaxation of 50% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those  belonging  to  SC/ ST/ OBC  (non-  creamy layer) / Differently-Abled /those u ho had obtained their  Master’s  degree  prior to 19"' September, 1991 and  other  categories  of  candidates  as  per  the decision of the UGC from time to time

A  Full Time Ph. D.

A student in this categor) works full  time for his /her Ph.D.  degree  with or u ithout University fellowship or vith project support or fellowship  from CSI R/ UGC or any other recognized funding agenc3'. The candidate should  meet  the  requisite  minimum  qualifications  for  admission  to  Ph. D programme .

B. Part Time Ph. D.

A person working in reputed research organizaGons, academic Institutes and industries, can be admitted on part time basis provided:

  1. Candidate is working in an organization which encourages and facilitates research
  2. Candidate  meets  the  requisite  minimum qualification for admission to Ph. D.  programme .
  3. Candidate fulfills the condition of period of residency
  4. Candidate has minimum of one year work  experience  in  the  related field
  5. Candidate furnishes a 'consent & no objection certificate" from his/ her parent organization.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission as Lateral Entry (Second Year}

Eligibility Criteria for Admission as Transfer Case (Any Year)

Candidates seeking admission from other University/Institution in any year and any course are permitted on fulfilment of following conditions:

  1. Transfer cases are permitted only at the beginning of ODD Semester.
  2. Transfer cases in all the courses and in all the  years are  permitted  on  case  to case basis, provided the admission is duly  approved  by  the  specially  constituted Equivalence Committee.
