Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad campus, has announced the commencement of PhD admissions in Physics for both full-time and part-time candidates. Eligible applicants with at least 60% marks in MSc Physics or any BE/BTech branch can apply. Admissions would be based on a written test and after an interview.
Candidates with qualifications like ME, MTech, MPhil, NET, or GATE are exempt from the entrance test. The application deadline is November 18, 2024. Shortlisted candidates for the written test and interviews will be informed separately by the institute. The PhD program covers diverse research areas such as general relativity, black holes, astrophysics, quantum optics, biomaterials, biophysics, high-energy physics, and quantum device modeling. Additionally, they will engage in teaching and developmental tasks under faculty mentorship.
