IIT JAM 2026: Registration Begins on September 5
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay
has officially announced that the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM
2026) registration process will begin on September 5, 2025. Candidates
aspiring for admission to MSc, Integrated MSc–PhD, and other postgraduate
programmes at IITs and IISc must complete their application through the
official JOAPS portal (jam2026.iitb.ac.in).
The last date to apply for IIT JAM 2026 is October 12,
2025, and the examination is scheduled to be held on February 15, 2026, in two
shifts.
With nearly 3,000 seats across 22 IITs for the academic
year 2026–27, IIT JAM remains one of the most competitive gateways for
postgraduate science aspirants.
IIT JAM 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or be in their final
year of undergraduate study.
There is no upper age limit for applying.
Candidates must submit valid proof of graduation at the
time of admission as per institute guidelines.
