NTA
starts JEE Main 2025 registration
process from October 28 up to November 22, 2024. Anomalies have been made on
this year’s tiebreaker policy and other related issues.
Significant
changes were made in the tie-breaking rules of JEE Main 2025
For candidates taking both papers Environmental Engineering/B. Tech (B.
E./BTech) with same overall NTA
score in JEE Main 2025, the NTA has modified its tie-breaking rule.
Earlier, if there was a tie, eight steps were followed to break it, with age
being taken into account at the end. Nevertheless, age and application number
will not break the evenness of two students from now on under the new
guidelines. At this point of time, any remaining tie shall be resolved after
using seven criteria- Maths, Physics & Chemistry scores and attempted questions’
accuracy.
Other
changes were also introduced for PwD and PwBD applicants by NTA
The guidelines for PWD (Persons with Disabilities) and PWBD (Persons with Benchmark
Disabilities) category applicants have been updated specifically to promote
greater inclusivity and care for these students.

The original domain name jeemain.nta.nic.in is back for JEE
Main 2025 registrations after temporarily using jeemain.nta.ac.in last year.
These show that the NTA aims at making the process of JEE Main straight forward. Therefore all interested candidates should ensure that they read through the new instructions carefully and complete their registrations before November 22nd.
