The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the NEET UG
2024 answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate
(NEET UG) 2024. Candidates can view and download the answer key from the
official website—exams.nta.ac.in. The NEET UG 2024 exam took place on May 5,
with provisional answer keys released on May 29. Medical aspirants had until
May 31 to raise objections against these provisional keys.
The NEET UG 2024
results are anticipated in the second or third week of June, according to
an NTA source. Last year, the answer
key was made available on June 4, and the results were declared on June 13.
Following the results, the Directorate General of Health
Services (DGHS) will oversee the counseling for 15 percent All India Quota
seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and seats of ESIC, AFMC, BHU,
and AMU. Candidates will apply for the 15 percent All India Quota seats as per
DGHS guidelines, and counseling will conclude once all seats are filled. This
year, 9,96,393 male candidates, 13,31,321 female candidates, and 17 transgender
candidates participated in the NEET UG exam.
In the NEET UG 2024 answer key, if more than one option is
correct, four marks (+4) will be awarded to those who marked any of the correct
options. If all options are correct, four marks (+4) will be given to everyone
who attempted the question. If no options are correct, or if a question is
found to be wrong or is dropped, all candidates who appeared for the exam will
receive four marks (+4), irrespective of whether they attempted the question.
Notably, no questions were dropped in this year's NEET UG 2024.
