The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi continues to be a top choice for JEE aspirants, with Computer Science Engineering (CSE) emerging as the most sought-after branch in 2024. According to the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) report 2024, a total of 25,064 students expressed interest in pursuing CSE at IIT Delhi, marking a 14.8% increase compared to the previous year. This surge in preference highlights the growing demand for cutting-edge tech education at one of India's premier institutions.

Following closely behind CSE, the Electrical Engineering branch saw a 14% rise in student interest, increasing from 19,064 in 2023 to 21,855 this year. Other top choices among aspirants include Mechanical Engineering (19,035 students), the four-year Mathematics and Computing program (18,760 students), and Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation) (16,226 students).

While the four-year CSE course remains the most popular, the five-year CSE course also saw an impressive 19.59% growth in preference, with 16,188 students choosing the program, up from 13,536 in 2023. Additionally, the five-year Mathematics and Computing course witnessed a significant rise in interest, with a 30.51% jump from 10,528 students in 2023 to 13,741 in 2024.
